Mehiel Creative is the design and art direction studio of Monica Mehiel. Monica’s professional experience is vast and varied by design, as her creativity thrives when presented with new challenges and experiences. From global beauty brands and luxury fashion retailers, to small tech startups and international nonprofits, Monica has acquired a wide range of experience in creative leadership, art direction and design for branding, marketing, advertising, product and events.

Monica has spent time with in-house creative teams at Sephora, The RealReal, Salesforce and ShopStyle, and has worked agency-side to bring ideas to life for Sundance, Thermos and The North Face. Some of her clients are small businesses looking to enter the market with a bang. Others are established national retailers who are stuck in a rut and need a creative lead to bring a fresh perspective to a brand overhaul at scale. Monica offers pro bono design consulting to early stage nonprofits that align with her values. She also mentors young designers at the start of their careers.

When offline, Monica loves spending time soaking up the sun. She finds gardening, hiking, and lazing around in a hammock or a large body of water all perfectly enjoyable. On rainy days she’ll find a tedious craft or a sewing project to fill her time. Lifetime obsessions that continue to inspire her are the NBA, old episodes of The Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks, fashion and film production design. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and daughter.
