Mehiel Creative is the art direction and graphic design studio of Monica Mehiel, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
Monica works with brands of all sizes to craft and actualize their creative vision. She has a knack for discovering what makes a brand unique and celebrating that through fresh and impactful visual communication that resonates. She’s your brand’s biggest fan, your copywriter’s bestie, your marketing director’s partner in crime, and your developer doesn’t mind her either! Monica brings a mix of curiosity, strategy, empathy and cultural awareness to all projects and loves collaborating with bold brands who strive to make a positive impact on people, systems and our planet.

Monica’s 15 years of professional experience covers a lot of ground, as her creativity thrives when presented with new experiences. She has spent time with in-house creative teams at Sephora, The RealReal, Salesforce and ShopStyle. She takes on agency-side projects, collaborating on projects for brands like Sundance, Thermos, The North Face and Head & Shoulders. She has also worked with dozens of great brands through partnership programs and events (SXSW, Coachella, The Oakland A’s, Star Wars, Everlane).
Many of Monica’s clients are established brands of all sizes who are stuck in a rut and need a creative lead to bring a fresh perspective to a big marketing campaign or a brand overhaul at scale. Other clients are small businesses who are looking to enter the market with a bang. Monica offers pro bono creative consulting to early stage nonprofits. She also mentors young designers at the start of their careers.
You can find Monica gardening, hiking, or lazing around a large body of water. She loves tedious crafts, puzzles and board games. Lifetime obsessions that continue to inspire her are the NBA, old episodes of The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks (all things Lynch), fashion and film production design. Monica lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and daughter.
